About
Hi, I’m Jessica—an educator, course designer, and adult teaching enthusiast who believes that online learning should be both efficient and excellent.
With over a decade in education—as a K-12 principal, teacher, and now an Assistant Professor—I’ve worn nearly every hat in the field. Whether leading a start-up charter school or redesigning online teacher education courses, my mission has always been the same: to make learning more human, equitable, and effective.
Currently, I teach future K-12 educators how to thrive in the classroom—and I help fellow higher ed instructors simplify their online teaching so they can spend less time in their inboxes and more time doing what they love. I’m passionate about instructional design that works in real life, and I’ve been recognized for creating online courses that students actually enjoy and remember.
I hold a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, multiple licensures, and a Creative Commons Certificate for open education. I nerd out about course design, sustainable teaching practices, and helping instructors get the rave reviews they deserve—without burning out.
Let’s make online teaching feel less like a grind—and more like what it should be: smart, meaningful, and impactful.
